Evaluation and Feedback of the video

Finished Video

Here is the link to our finished music video. We decided to put it on Vimeo rather than YouTube or GoogleDocs because it provides better quality.

When we exported the video I think we didn't export it in HD so it could have been better quality but still I like it how it is. I'm going to post this video on facebook and show it to friends and family to try and get some feedback on it.

Creative Camera Use

A lot of the creative effects we used were produced after shooting. We chose to have little camera movement to keep it professional and not wobbling around. So the majority of creativity took place in the editing sessions.
In these two screen shots you can see examples of this. The first is an example of two effects we used frequently. We used the mirror effect multiple times in the video because we feel it is something Gaga would use as it is quirky and different. She did actually use this effect in her video for Born This Way she made recently. Because she often makes short films rather than music videos she often includes titles. So we chose to include text in the video. At first it was just at the beginning but we liked it so much we included it a lot more in the video.
In the second image here is an example of another effect we really liked and used a lot. It's called Bad TV on Final Cut Pro and it creates a distorted and double vision effect which we think looked really effective as it showed the teeth in double!

Rejected Footage

As we filmed about an hour of footage overall we had lots to play with and lots to edit down. Consequently we have plenty of rejected footage. Most of it is us and the other in our video laughing or forgetting the lyrics as we were filming. Some footage we left out because it simply didn't look good enough and we had better versions of certain bits already.
Here are two bits of rejected footage as an example. We took ages trying to get this final shot. There is about 10 takes of us getting it wrong. We knew exactly what we wanted and so the first time we got it right is the footage we show in the final video.

This was rejected because it was not the right angle we wanted.
